Southern Lehigh Community Pool and the Suburban Swim League are committed to having a competitive swim season for 2021 with appropriate Health & Safety Guidelines.
We are currently working on updating our Health & Safety (COVID) Operational Guidelines as we approach the opening of our season.
The Soleco Swim Team ranges in age from 6 to 18 years old, as of June 1.
Soleco is part of the Suburban Swim League which includes 8 teams. Each team competes against the remaining 7 teams, one time per season. League information can be found at https://suburbanswimlv.wixsite.com/mysite. The order and location of each meet rotates annually. Swim meets are either home or away, usually on Mondays and Thursdays, from approximately 5pm to 9pm. See “Meet Schedule” on this website.
Practice typically begins after school in late May and continues Monday – Friday mornings during the season. The summer league runs from June to late July. Qualifying swimmers will represent SOLECO at Championships late in July. Toward the end of the season, swimmers competing in one or zero races at Championships may also choose to swim in the Silver Championships.
There are a few *fun* practices for swimmers as well throughout the season!
Parents volunteer throughout the season for things like timing the races, lining up the swimmers, setup, and cleanup to name a few.
We also participate in a fundraiser for which we simply purchase gift certificates. These fundraising dollars are then used for things like equipment and end of the season gifts.
There are just a few parent meetings throughout the season and a banquet at the end to celebrate all our individual and team accomplishments.
